Looking Back Over 2022 with Hoardweel Wagyu

As we look back on 2022, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of you who continue to support Hoardweel Wagyu.

Your word-of-mouth recommendations, online reviews, and continued loyalty mean the world to us. Whether you’ve shared our story, gifted someone a Wagyu steak box, or just kept coming back for more — we see you, and we’re truly grateful.

From the day we sold our first pack of Berkshire pork chops back in 1999, our mission has remained the same:
To deliver fantastic quality, great-tasting, locally reared Wagyu beef and Berkshire pork—straight from our farm to your plate.

In a time when supermarket food miles are soaring, our belief in low-impact, ethical, farm-to-fork meat is stronger than ever. We’re proud to raise our animals with care here in the Scottish Borders, ensuring every cut you enjoy is full of flavour and traceable from birth to butchery.

🥩 A Gold Medal Moment

One of our highlights from 2022 was winning Gold in the Scottish Craft Butchers Awards in the Naked Steak category for our Wagyu Sirloin Steaks — a real honour and a reflection of the quality and care that goes into our farming.

👨‍🌾 Farmers First, Foodies Always

At the heart of Hoardweel Wagyu is a passion for great food and proper farming. Your feedback keeps us going on the long, cold days and makes the sore joints worthwhile.

We’re excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to share more with you in 2023—from new products to behind-the-scenes farm updates.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!
Here’s to more good food, shared stories, and honest, sustainable farming.
