Wagyu gets the Gold

Hoardweel Wagyu celebrated winning Gold last month in the Naked Steak category of the Scottish Craft Butchers Awards 2022.

The blind tasting competition means exactly that. No breed or product information, the steak is scored on its presentation in its uncooked state and then again when cooked for tenderness and taste.

David and Elaine supply Scottish bred and reared Wagyu Beef to JM Quality Meats of Melrose, who entered the Sirloin Steak into this years awards.

The heavily marbled meat is outstanding in flavour, incredibly tender and melts in the mouth.

HW Wagyu are thrilled with the result and recognition of this award.
